Privacy Policy

Effective August 18, 2026

How Akidos Studio collects, uses, stores, and shares customer information and project files.

Plain-language summary

We collect only the information needed to review, quote, manufacture, deliver, and support your project. We do not sell customer information or use private project files for advertising.

01

Information we collect

We may collect your name, email address, preferred contact method, phone number or social handle, shipping or delivery address, project requirements, uploaded files, order history, support messages, and records of policy acceptance.

We also collect first-party funnel measurements such as page visits, account sign-ins, project-workspace clicks, form starts, completed submissions, referral category, and timestamps needed to measure response time. For each measured visit, we may also collect the IP address, approximate city, region, country, postal area, coordinates, time zone, network provider or ASN, and browser or device information supplied by the connection. Location is inferred from the network and may be inaccurate. These measurements use pseudonymous browser and session identifiers and do not store the text entered in an unfinished form. When you sign in or submit a project, we may associate that activity with your account email so we can provide support and understand the customer journey.

When you sign in, our authentication provider may provide an account identifier, name, and email address. Payment card information is collected and processed by Stripe; Akidos Studio does not store complete card numbers or security codes.

02

How we use information

We use information to authenticate customers, preview files, evaluate manufacturability, prepare quotes, reserve material, process payments, manufacture and deliver orders, send status updates, prevent fraud, keep business and tax records, and respond to support requests.

We may send a limited sequence of automatic project emails tied to a saved request: quote reminders, quote-expiration notices, review requests, and repeat-order reminders. Each message links to the permanent private project page, stops when the step is no longer relevant, and includes a way to turn off future automatic reminders. Essential receipts, payment confirmations, and production updates are not affected by that preference.

Project files may be converted, repaired, oriented, sliced, supported, or otherwise processed only as reasonably necessary to evaluate and fulfill the requested project.

03

Service providers and disclosures

We may provide necessary information to service providers that support website hosting, authentication, file storage, email delivery, payment processing, shipping, analytics, security, accounting, or professional advice. They receive only the information reasonably needed for their role. When connection-supplied location is unavailable, an IP geolocation service may process a saved visitor IP address to return an approximate country, region, city, network, and map coordinate for the first-party analytics described above.

When you use the optional smart address search and unit check, the street, city, state, and ZIP you enter are sent to Esri's World Geocoding Service, with Photon/OpenStreetMap used only as a fallback for suggestions. The service may identify a general building type so the form can remind you when an apartment, suite, or unit is likely required. Recipient names and contact details are not included in those requests. You may skip suggestions and enter the address manually.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect customers or the public, to investigate fraud or unlawful activity, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

04

Files, confidentiality, and retention

Customer files are treated as private project material. We do not publish, sell, or display them in a portfolio without separate permission. This policy is not a nondisclosure agreement; request an NDA before sending trade secrets or other highly sensitive content.

Website analytics events and their associated IP address, approximate location, network, and device information are retained for no more than 30 days and are then automatically deleted.

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for quoting, production, repeat-order support, dispute prevention, legal compliance, and business records. Retention periods vary by record type. You may ask us to delete a file when no longer needed, subject to legal and operational requirements.

05

Cookies, local storage, and security

The site may use essential cookies or browser storage to maintain sign-in, remember language preferences, preserve project history on a device, provide private order links, and protect the service. We do not currently use this information for third-party behavioral advertising.

First-party browser storage may also keep a pseudonymous visitor identifier, a session identifier, and the first known traffic source so Akidos can measure whether the website helps customers complete a project request. Analytics collection is skipped when the browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, and owner guest-preview sessions are excluded.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Keep private order links confidential and contact us immediately if you believe an account or link has been compromised.

06

Your choices and California privacy requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with your account or project, or ask questions about our privacy practices. Some records may be retained when required for payments, taxes, fraud prevention, disputes, or other legal obligations.

You can stop or resume automatic quote, review, and reorder reminders from the preference link in any such email. We honor that choice for future automatic reminders associated with the same email address.

To make a request, email [email protected] from the address connected to your order. We may verify your identity before completing the request. We do not discriminate against customers for exercising applicable privacy rights.

07

Children, changes, and contact

The service is intended for customers who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect project submissions from children.

We may update this policy as the business and service providers change. The current version and effective date will remain posted here. Privacy questions may be sent to [email protected].
